Student Projects

The EPSEM Program offers a variety of science and engineering intensive residential programs hosted by the California NanoSystems Institute at the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB). During the summer, students interact with university science, engineering and mathematics researchers through a variety of academic, social, and professional development activities.

Activities include hands-on team lab projects in a dynamic research environment. The students who participate in the program work with graduate student researchers in UCSB science and engineering laboratories, gaining first-hand experience in how science research is conducted. Interns practice presentation skills and give scientific talks based on their research projects.
